Nitro Type Mod Suite Privacy Policy

Nitro Type Mod Suite is a Chrome extension that enhances the Nitro Type website with user-controlled settings, race options, garage and shop tools, safety indicators, stats views, leaderboards, and racing music controls. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how that data is used.

Data The Extension Handles

The extension may process the following data to provide its features:

• Nitro Type page content and visible game data, such as profile, race, stats, garage, shop, leaderboard, and race log information.
• Nitro Type authentication information available to the Nitro Type page, used only at runtime to call Nitro Type APIs for user-facing features.
• Extension settings, feature on/off state, selected item pools, race options, music settings, and local caches.
• Nitro Type page state may be updated locally after user-enabled garage, shop, or equipment actions succeed through Nitro Type APIs, so the visible Nitro Type page reflects the user's selected changes.
• Music URLs, search terms, and metadata used by the music player when the user configures or plays music.
• Limited Nitro Type browsing activity, such as the current Nitro Type page route, so the extension can show the right controls on the right Nitro Type pages.

How Data Is Used

Data is used only to provide or improve Nitro Type Mod Suite's user-facing Nitro Type enhancement features. The extension does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising, and does not transfer user data for unrelated purposes.

Storage And Retention

Settings, selected pools, music configuration, feature state, and bounded caches are stored locally in the user's browser using browser storage and Nitro Type page storage. These values remain on the user's device until the user changes settings, clears browser or extension data, or uninstalls the extension.

Nitro Type session tokens are not intentionally stored in extension storage. The extension reads the current Nitro Type token from the Nitro Type page only when needed for Nitro Type API requests, rejects expired tokens, and blocks known Nitro Type authentication keys from being saved in extension storage.

Spotify access tokens used by the music player are kept in memory for playback and metadata requests. They are not written to extension storage.

Data Sharing

The extension does not send data to a developer-operated server. It may send data directly from the user's browser to the following services when needed for user-facing features:

• Nitro Type, for authenticated Nitro Type API features such as stats, race logs, garage, shop, and race options.
• ntstartrack.org and ntleaderboards.com, for leaderboard, badge, and racer status features.
• Spotify, YouTube, YouTube Music, Google, Apple Music, iTunes, noembed, Invidious, and Piped endpoints, for user-selected music search, metadata, and playback features.

Security

The extension uses HTTPS endpoints for network requests. The extension's background request relay only accepts requests from Nitro Type pages, only allows explicitly listed HTTPS hosts, strips sensitive request headers, and limits browser credentials to Nitro Type plus Spotify and YouTube provider endpoints needed for user-selected media playback.

Remote Code

Nitro Type Mod Suite does not load remote JavaScript into extension execution contexts and does not execute remotely fetched code. Remote responses are used as data for Nitro Type, leaderboard, and music features. YouTube and Spotify playback use provider iframes for user-selected media.

User Choices

Users can disable extension features from the Nitro Type Mod Suite settings interface. Users can also clear stored extension data through Chrome's extension/site data controls or by uninstalling the extension.
